WHOSE LITTLE GIRL IS THIS?
(DE QUIÉN ES ESTA NIÑA?)

Are the memoirs of a young woman’s coming of age, drowning in cultural disarray. Can she find herself or lose her soul. Can she break this generational cycle of abuse?  Is it a journey of spiritual death or of spiritual connection? Full of racial confusion is she black, white or possibly Indian? Where does she belong? Does she hold allegiance to the US where she was born or her mother’s homeland Puerto Rico, which is embedded in her every fiber? Does she speak Spanish, should she speak English, how about Spanglish, or better yet her grandmother’s language Indian and Spanish?  It’s a story of one woman’s struggle through domestic violence, abuse, heartache, identity crisis, spiritual disconnection, and religious persecution. Her ultimate goal is the pursuit of happiness, inner peace, and outward empowerment. Ultimately finding a satisfying relationship that validated her, gave her peace, and made her feel whole. This is a story of strength perseverance, and the finding of the ultimate love “herself” through “God”.
